So I'll be at King Con - Brooklyn's first ever comic convention! - this weekend with my good pal Alex Karassavidis! Visit his website here.

That's Nov 7&8, Saturday and Sunday. Here is a link to their site, it looks like it's gonna be awesome! Admission is only $7 per day and $10 for the whole weekend, it seems. Not bad! As soon as I find out what our table is, I'll post it.

Also please note I've changed this blog's address because there was some confusion with my middle initial in there. Now it's just plain ol' Just keeping you guys in the know! Thanks everyone who's watching me, please continue to do so!

FCHS - Update + Pgs 4-8

So, there's been a small setback. FCHS has been canceled due to low pre-order numbers. While we won't be published by AdHouse anymore, we also won't give up now. You haven't seen the last of us!

Here's the rest of the FCHS 8-Page prequel, reading bottom up to keep in line with previous posts. Thanks for reading!

FCHS- Prequel page 2

Here's page 2! I'll put another one up tomorrow.

Sunday, August 30, 2009

Sorry, blog! I have neglected you. But I'm back now, with presents!

So FCHS is now officially in Previews magazine (Sep '09) and available for pre-order here. You can pre-order at any of your local retailers!

Also, Vito and I have been working on a few pages for an FCHS prequel. Here's page one!

Last note: So this might be far along the road, but look out for issue League!!, which may or may not be a mini, sometime early next year. Also, Pin comics #0, which will be a mini. That'll be later this year.

Thanks for all the support, pals and gals!

Heroes Convention 2009

It's a little late, but here's my Heroes Con review:

It was AWESOME! Since I live in New York, I go to both the Big Apple con and MoCCA each year. Heroes Con in NC was like if you stick MoCCA right in the middle of the Big Apple Con! I was stationed at Indie Island, right across from the AdHouse table. Lamar Abrams and Fred Chao where there promoting their own (awesome) comics. My table was right next to Rob Ullman, who had some neat stickers and awesome new comics like Atomic Bomb Banana Hammock. On my other side was Finder writer/artist Carla Speed McNeil. Dean Trippe and Jason Horn were a little farther down. Other awesome guests on the list were Scott Wegener of Atomic Robo Fame, Eric Powell, Joe Staton, Bill Sienkiewicz, Nick Cardy, Dick Giordano, Jeff Powell, Dustin Harbin, and of course Vito Delsante!

Heroes Con also holds an annual auction and guests are invited to donate pieces, as many at they want! So during down time at my table, I drew a couple of kinda finished pieces that went for $150 and $175.

Not bad! All in all, the con was awesome. If you can make it down, it's definitely worth it. The city is great and the weather was beautiful so after the con we walked the two miles down to the comic shop, Heroes Aren't Hard to Find for the after party, which was also awesome. The have Doc Oct fighting Spidey extending from the ceiling, and a great selection of comics!

Special thanks to H. Shelton Drum for having me, and to Dustin for pushing my pieces!

Free Comic Book Day

Thanks to everyone who showed up for FCBD, and for all the words of support since!

If you missed out, we have more FCHS FCBD issues at Jim Hanley's Universe. They'll also have postcards, and fun stuff, like buttons.

Also, look for us at MoCCa! I'll probably linger around the AdHouse booth for a while, but who can stay still for too long when there's so much awesome around?

Hope to see ya there!

Sunday, May 3, 2009

So this year I'll be attending Heroes Con in North Carolina.

They gave me a table, as a guest! I don't know the table number yet though, so stay tuned.

I learned yesterday (Free Comic Book Day) that even if people don't know who I am, they'll still want a sketch. So, especially if you do know about me, come on down! I'll have specific times for sketching (can't draw ALL day). I'll have some new art promoting FCHS, as well as some future projects, and (if I can swing it) a short (very short) mini-comic all my own. Plus, a TON of free buttons!

I'll also be loitering at MoCCA this year. I don't have a table, but I'll be walking around with more free stuff.

If I can get my hands on more of the FCBD FCHS issue, I'll be giving those away. Otherwise, it'll just be more of the same: promo cards, buttons, and fliers with future endeavors! Also, check out the freebie table.

Friday, May 1, 2009

Hey men and ladies! Tomorrow is Free Comic Book Day, my favorite holiday! Vito Delsante and I will be signing the FCBD edition of our comic, FCHS, tomorrow at Jim Hanley's Universe. We'll be there all day long, so stop by and hang out with us. If you can't make it to Hanley's, then look for our story, featured in AdHouse's FCBD this year. Also in that issue is Lamar Abrams' Remake, an awesomely fun and silly comic, coming soon from AdHouse.

Give us your feedback here and at Thanks!

If you're here then you probably know Vito, and all about FCHS. I won't update for a while after this (they're locking me up with a pencil, some paper and the rest of the FCHS script) but once that's done I'll keep you posted regularly.

Look for a sample of FCHS (published by AdHouse) on Free Comic Book Day (May 2nd) and stop by Jim Hanley's Universe (4 West 33rd st off of 5th ave) where Vito and I will be signing.

Off to the drawing board!
